After 10 years as one of the essential members of the regional music scene in northern California, James "Papa Bear" Williams snatched up his younger brother Phil & moved to Colorado in 2000. Since then THE WILLIAMS BROTHERS BAND has established themselves as the anchor of the music scene in Western Colorado. TWBB has become the most successful band in the area & not only headlines the region's top venues & festivals, tours all over the western United States, but are the most requested direct support act to play with national acts as well. The hit single, "CIRCLES" was nominated for a Golden Kayak Award by the International Academy Of Independent Artists for best Rock Song. TWBB hit #1 on the mp3.com Blues charts twice with JOHNNY THE SQUIRREL, & DEEP ELEM BLUES. The all original & multi-genre "LIVE AT THE MESA THEATER" was released April 2014. The first single GET ME DOWN immediately hit #5 on the Soundclick Americana Charts while the backing track CHINAMAN BLUES was the #2 song on podcasts world-wide. The album placed 3 songs simultaneously on Soundclick's top 20 Blues Rock Charts as well. The Williams Brothers are true purveyors of american music and cross genres with ease and proficiency
