Come get western with the Band Derringer who are quickly becoming the can't miss night of Country Music in Grand Junction!

Derringer is made up of musicians from the Western Slope of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains. Started by Sean Paxson in the spring of 1993 the goal was to create a unique country-rock sound focusing on three part harmonies, solid song writing, and an energetic stage presence. This, along with talented and dedicated band members has created a spectacular show across Colorado.

Drawing on influences ranging from Brooks and Dunn to the Eagles to classic country, the band has combined many familiar sounds to create a style that is all their own. Derringer’s sound and show have made them a favorite across Colorado playing fairs and rodeos, bars like the famous Grizzly Rose in Denver, and opening for numerous national acts including: The Pirates of the Mississippi, Doug Supernaw, Rick Trevino, Big House, Dan Seals, Michelle Wright, Ricky Lynn Gregg, The Smokin Armadillos, Ricochet, Kenny Chesney, STYX, Dwight Yokum, Country Jam (1999 and 2000), Criss Ledoux, The Little River Band, Tracy Byrd and Black Hawk.

In 1994 Derringer wrote and produced a ten song CD titled “Put A Little Kick In Your Country”. The CD landed air time on radio stations across Colorado including KISS Country – Grand Junction, SKI Country – Vail, KMTS – Glenwood Springs, and KYGO in Denver. The CD sold over 4000 units. The band is continuing to write new material and hopes to be back in the studio soon. Our latest 12 song CD, "Rocky Mountain Rain" was released in December of 2009.

Derringer is: Sean Paxson – lead vocals and lead guitar, Jeff Huff – keyboards, guitar and back up vocals, Dave Watson – drums, Fred Pena – bass guitar, Emily Kingston- Lead and backup vocals.
